Discord Member Privacy Notice

A focused notice for people whose messages or membership data may be processed when a Discord server uses Snitch.

Effective:
26 July 2026
Operator:
Phillip InfoSec · CVR 41892463

The organization or person operating your Discord server chooses whether to use Snitch, which channels are monitored, the moderation rules, and the actions taken. That operator is generally controller for server-specific moderation. Ask its moderators about its identity, legal basis, notices, rules and appeal process.

Phillip InfoSec acts as processor for that server-specific work. Contact phillip@golemgrid.com if the operator cannot be reached; we will route or assist with a verified request.

Snitch may receive the message and guild, channel, message and author identifiers, username, attachments, and time. Automated providers evaluate text or images for scam or spam indicators. Snitch records the classification, reason, configured decision and whether Discord applied the action.

AI results are probabilistic. You may ask the server operator for human review and correction. A false-positive report updates the record and may trigger reversal of an automated penalty.

When strong scam or spam evidence identifies a Discord account, Snitch may create a central threat record and notify or protect other eligible participating servers. For this additional purpose Phillip InfoSec determines the processing and acts as independent controller, relying on legitimate interests in fraud prevention and community security.

You may object or appeal directly to phillip@golemgrid.com. A successful correction deactivates the central profile and initiates reversal of Snitch-propagated bans where technically and legally appropriate.

  • Non-flagged raw messages and attachments are deleted after 30 days.
  • Flagged evidence and linked cross-server actions are deleted after three years unless corrected sooner or subject to a documented legal hold.
  • Anonymous totals may remain, but cannot be used to identify a member, message or channel.
  • To exercise access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or appeal rights, provide your exact Discord ID where possible. A username alone may match several accounts and cannot authorize deletion.
